The dipstick used to determine fuel on board was not calibrated for the aircraft. This resulted in the pilot’s understanding of the amount of fuel on board being incorrect. Both pilots relied on the pre‑flight fuel quantity measurement and did not use the fuel indicators to crosscheck the amount of fuel on board, prior to or during either flight. Full accident record
