    The airplane departed Aberdeen-Dyce Airport on a navigation exercise with a crew of four on board. While flying in the vicinity of RAF Fraserburgh, it suffered an engine failure. The pilot in command attempted an emergency landing in a field located in Rosehearty. While all four occupants escaped unhurt, the aircraft was damaged beyond repair. Probable cause (official findings): Engine failure in flight.
