AAPA schedules annual assembly in Kuala Lumpur for November

The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) will hold its annual Assembly of Presidents in Kuala Lumpur on 12 and 13 November. It is the 70th edition of the gathering, hosted by member carrier Malaysia Airlines. AAPA calls the assembly its major annual occasion, bringing together chief executives of member airlines and senior industry stakeholders for networking, discussion of industry issues, and high-level talks.

This year's assembly takes place as carriers in the region face elevated fuel prices, which have pushed some member airlines into losses in recent earnings. Geopolitical uncertainty, supply chain constraints, and sustainability remain other flagged concerns.

The meeting will be the first under newly appointed AAPA director general Wong Hong, who assumed the role on 1 April.
