Air North adds year-round Yellowknife service to Edmonton and Whitehorse

Canadian regional carrier Air North will operate year-round multi-weekly flights linking Yellowknife with Edmonton and Whitehorse starting in December, alongside expanded seasonal service to Vancouver.

Air North is adding flights out of Yellowknife, the capital of Canada's Northwest Territories. Starting in December, the regional airline will fly several times a week, year-round, linking the city with both Edmonton and Whitehorse.

The order of stops will change depending on the day of the week, with flights rotating between the three cities, the airline said.

Air North said the new year-round link is aimed particularly at business travellers, government staff, and organizations operating in northern Canada. The carrier also said it hopes the additional connections will support tourism in the region.

Air North is also extending its seasonal flights between Yellowknife and Vancouver. Those flights, previously offered on a shorter seasonal window, will now run from August through March, according to the airline.

No aircraft types were specified for the new or expanded routes.
