AirAsia X and Pegasus Airlines to launch codeshare from September 2026
AirAsia X plans its first codeshare agreement, partnering with Turkish carrier Pegasus Airlines on five routes out of Istanbul.

AirAsia X plans to launch its first codeshare partnership, joining forces with Turkish low-cost carrier Pegasus Airlines. The arrangement is scheduled to begin no earlier than September 1, 2026.
Under the deal, five routes operated by Pegasus from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport would also carry an AirAsia X D7 flight number. Those routes run from Istanbul to Ankara, Athens, London Stansted, Moscow Vnukovo, and Zurich.
According to the report, AirAsia X, the long-haul arm of the AirAsia group, has not previously had a codeshare agreement of this kind. The move would extend the carrier's marketing reach into several European and Russian destinations without AirAsia X operating the flights itself.
No further details were given on ticketing arrangements or how often the affected flights would run. Whether additional routes might be added later is also unclear, as is whether the agreement will reach beyond the initial five city pairs.
