Miles & More, the Lufthansa Group loyalty programme, is working with Google to make award flight searches easier to access. Members will be able to see how many miles are needed for selected reward flights directly within Google's AI Mode search feature.

The mileage figures shown will be based on real-time data, according to the companies. That means travellers researching trips through Google could see up-to-date pricing in miles before heading to the airline's own booking channels.

The companies describe the move as part of a broader expansion of travel-related features within Google's AI Mode. No timeline was given for when the feature will roll out widely. Neither company said which specific routes or cabin classes will be covered at launch.

The announcement does not detail how the integration will handle availability changes or blackout dates, both common issues in award travel booking. It also does not specify whether the feature will be limited to certain markets or made available globally from the outset.
