Airbus has a firm order from Dublin-based lessor Avolon for 110 aircraft: 35 A330-900 widebodies and 75 A320neo family jets. The manufacturer announced the deal on October 9, 2026.

According to Airbus, the agreement lifts Avolon's total order for the A330-900 to 114 aircraft. Its A320 family order book now stands at 650.

Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Airbus executive vice president of sales in the commercial aircraft business, called the order significant for both the A330neo and the A320neo family, and a further endorsement of the manufacturer's products. It confirms Avolon's position as the leading lessor for the A330-900, he said.

Avolon chief executive Andy Cronin said the company continues to see strong demand for new aircraft and that the order strengthens its long-term delivery pipeline. It positions the lessor to support its airline customers' fleet growth and replacement needs well into the next decade, he said. Demand for both the A330neo and A320neo is expected to stay strong given the long-term growth trajectory of the aviation sector.
