Airbus logs September orders from two customers, delivers 72 aircraft

Airbus took orders from just two customers in September and cancelled three A220-300s, leaving a net gain of 14 aircraft for the month.

Airbus took orders from just two customers in September, the manufacturer said. Air Cairo ordered 15 A320 Neo aircraft, and Flyone Armenia ordered two A321 Neo jets. Cancellations of three A220-300s cut the month's tally, leaving a net gain of 14 aircraft.

For the year so far, Airbus has booked gross orders for 1,174 jets against 69 cancellations, a net figure of 1,105 aircraft.

September deliveries came to 72 aircraft across 37 customers. Since the start of the year, the planemaker has handed over 547 aircraft to 84 customers.
