Airhub Aviation can now carry out base maintenance on the Airbus A320neo and the Boeing 737 MAX, after an audit by Lithuania's Transport Competence Agency. The new scope covers A320neo aircraft with either CFM LEAP or Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan engines, along with the 737 MAX, the company said.
Airbus A220 work may follow. Airhub is pursuing approval for the type alongside an industry partner, with a proposed scope covering line maintenance, aircraft transitions and end-of-life asset management.
The company said demand is rising for both routine maintenance and heavier checks on newer aircraft, including the first 12-year checks on A320neo aircraft. Those inspections can mean longer stretches on the ground as operators and maintenance providers carry them out for the first time.
Airhub said the wider approval answers requests from lessors, operators and aftermarket players for support on new-generation platforms, and adds to its work across the aircraft lifecycle, with a focus on technical asset management and preserving residual value.
