ANAC suspends Total Linhas Aéreas operating certificate over safety deficiencies

Brazil's civil aviation authority ANAC has suspended the air operator certificate of Total Linhas Aéreas, a carrier focused on cargo and mail transport. The suspension takes effect immediately and bars the airline from flying until further notice.

ANAC said the decision follows significant deficiencies in operational safety. The regulator found a higher rate of regulatory violations relative to flight operations compared with similar operators, along with numerous critical findings. The airline's safety management and continuous monitoring systems were also not sufficiently effective, according to ANAC.

Total Linhas Aéreas may resume operations only after resolving the identified risks and deficiencies and demonstrating compliance through technical inspections by the authority.
