Aurora to receive first Ilyushin Il-114-300 in 2026
Russian carrier Aurora is slated to take delivery of its first Ilyushin Il-114-300 regional turboprop in 2026, with two more to follow in early 2027, as part of a broader fleet renewal plan.

Russian airlines have indicated a need for 108 to 110 Ilyushin Il-114-300 turboprops through 2035. These aircraft are intended to replace aging Antonov An-24 and An-28 types in regional service. For the first ten examples destined for Aurora, a reduced-rate financing arrangement has been approved. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered in 2026, with two additional units arriving in early 2027.
The fleet transition brings financial challenges. Older Antonov aircraft are largely depreciated, but the new Il-114-300s will require ongoing lease payments. Russia's Ministry of Industry and Trade is working to prevent a sharp rise in ticket prices as a result of fleet renewal, according to the report.
Technical details provided include a capacity of 52 passengers and a range of about 1,800 kilometers. Larger-scale production is planned to begin in 2028.
