Boeing handed over 53 commercial aircraft to customers in July 2026, according to figures the manufacturer released on August 11, falling short of Airbus, which reported delivering 67 aircraft over the same month a few days earlier.
The result widens Airbus's lead for the year so far: through the first seven months of 2026 Boeing has delivered 367 aircraft compared with Airbus's 418. Boeing's July tally is also down from 64 deliveries in June and 60 in May, months during which the company had built momentum. By comparison, Boeing had delivered 328 jets over the same seven-month period in 2025.
As recently as the six-month mark, Boeing had posted its best first-half delivery total since 2018 at 314 aircraft, though Airbus was still ahead at that point with 351.
Among July customers, lessor AerCap took delivery of nine 737 MAX jets and one 787-9. Several airlines including Air India, Lufthansa, Korean Air, Riyadh Air and United Airlines received new 787-9 Dreamliners, with United receiving three and Riyadh Air and Lufthansa two each. Boeing delivered a total of ten Dreamliners in the month, following thirteen in June, which was cited as a sign that production constraints on the widebody line have eased.
Boeing also logged 38 new orders in July, including purchases announced at the Farnborough Airshow by AerCap, Luxair and Uganda National Airlines, along with an order for five 737 MAX jets and one Boeing Business Jet from unidentified customers.
