Brisbane Airport opens 12-lane passport control in international terminal

Brisbane Airport has brought a new 12-lane passport control area into service at its International Terminal ahead of the September school holidays, part of a wider reshuffle of the terminal's passenger processing areas.

Brisbane Airport has opened a new passport control area with 12 lanes at its International Terminal, and the facility began operating in time for the September school holidays.

The passport control point has moved to Level 4 of the International Terminal, next to a new security screening area. For the first time, check-in, security screening and passport control sit on a single level.

The airport said the change also allows the duty-free retail area to nearly double in size.
