Condor to end Dubai flights from Berlin and Stuttgart, adds European routes

Condor will drop its Berlin and Stuttgart routes to Dubai during the winter schedule, citing continued difficult economic conditions across the aviation industry. Passengers with tickets on the affected daily services will be refunded.

At the same time the German leisure carrier is growing its European network, which it expects to reach 16 destinations next spring. Frankfurt gains three routes: Athens, Florence and Stockholm.

Athens will be served daily for the summer season from 28 April. Florence starts 6 May as a seasonal service, twice a day. Stockholm runs year-round with two daily flights from 13 May.

The additions are meant to feed passengers from European cities onto Condor's long-haul routes through its Frankfurt base. Chief commercial officer Pierre Dominique Prumm called the city network expansion a targeted investment in developing the Frankfurt hub, saying travellers will get coordinated connections to long-haul destinations.

Condor's long-haul map covers North America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia. The carrier took delivery of its first Airbus A330-900 at the close of 2022 and intends to fly 25 of the type by 2031. It is also replacing narrowbody aircraft with Airbus A320neo-family jets.
