Copa Airlines named best carrier in Central America and the Caribbean for 11th time

Copa Airlines was named Best Airline in Central America and the Caribbean for the eleventh time at the 2026 World Airline Awards, presented by Skytrax on 18 September 2026 at The Langham hotel in London. Skytrax based the award on passenger assessments, according to the airline.

Copa attributed the recognition to operational punctuality, connectivity and customer service. It also pointed to efficiency on the ground and in the cabin, the performance of its ground staff and crews, and the introduction of high-speed inflight connectivity. The airline said it became the first carrier in Latin America to offer that service through Starlink in 2026.

Chief executive Pedro Heilbron said the award reflects passenger confidence and the work of the airline's staff, adding that it followed the efforts of employees on the ground and on board. The win adds to Copa's record in the regional category, which it has now taken 11 times. Copa is based in Panama and connects destinations across the Americas.
