EgyptAir group carriers expand fleets with new Airbus and Boeing aircraft
Air Cairo took delivery of a new Airbus A320neo while parent EgyptAir received its fourth Boeing 737 Max 8, as both carriers continue fleet growth.

The EgyptAir group has taken on two more aircraft. Air Cairo put a factory-new Airbus A320neo into service on 18 September. The carrier, which is 60 percent owned by EgyptAir, now operates more than 45 aircraft.
In early September Air Cairo placed its first direct order with Airbus, for 15 A320neo jets. According to the portal News Aero, the fleet is to grow beyond 130 aircraft by 2034.
EgyptAir, meanwhile, received its fourth Boeing 737 Max 8. The aircraft is leased from SMBC Aviation Capital and is fitted with 16 business-class and 144 economy seats. The leasing agreement covers 18 Boeing 737 Max 8s in total. The first of them was handed over in early May.
