Delta crew move woman after seatmate filmed her on SFO-Atlanta flight
A woman on a Delta Air Lines flight from San Francisco to Atlanta told crew that the man beside her was recording her without her consent. Flight attendants relocated her and the flight deck asked the airline's operations centre whether police should meet the aircraft.
A woman on a Delta Air Lines flight from San Francisco to Atlanta told cabin crew the man beside her was filming her with his phone without her knowledge, according to an account of the Thursday, September 17 2026 service.
The flight, DL570, was travelling east from San Francisco International Airport to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The woman was seated next to the man, who occupied a middle seat on the right side of a Boeing 757.
She raised the matter with flight attendants after noticing his phone camera was pointed at her. Crew intervened to calm the situation and offered to move her to another seat for the rest of the trip. She took up the offer.
As the aircraft neared Atlanta, the flight deck contacted Delta flight operations to ask whether law enforcement should be waiting at the gate for the man, who was booked on a connecting flight to San Juan, Puerto Rico.
It is not clear whether any local or federal officers spoke to him after he left the aircraft in Atlanta and before his onward connection.
