An easyJet flight from Rhodes to London Gatwick landed in the early hours of Monday morning with police waiting at the gate, after the crew reported a disruptive passenger on board.
Flight U28256, an Airbus A320 registered G-EJCM, left Rhodes International Airport on Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 11:30 local time, according to the account of the flight. About three hours in, cruising over Swiss airspace, the crew flagged a growing problem involving a woman in seat 26F.
The behaviour concerned those in the cabin, but the crew judged it did not justify a diversion. They pressed on to Gatwick and arranged for ground support to meet the aircraft.
The plane touched down safely on runway 08R at 01:30 BST and taxied to gate 562, where officers were waiting at the rear door. They boarded promptly and led the passenger off, an arrangement intended to limit disruption for the other travellers.
What happened in the cabin, and what authorities did after removing the woman, has not been officially disclosed.
