Edinburgh Airport to invest £500m in terminal expansion
Edinburgh Airport plans to spend £500 million over the next five years expanding its terminal, with the first phase due to fully open in summer 2027.
Edinburgh Airport plans to spend 500 million pounds, about 574 million euros, on terminal expansion over the next five years. Its first construction phase is to be fully open by summer 2027.
The plans add gates and aircraft stands, plus a larger check-in hall and departure area. Floor space in the terminal will grow by 60 percent. The airport says the expansion is meant to add capacity for passengers and airlines and to strengthen Scotland's international connections.
