Embraer's Phenom 300EV business jet certified in Europe, US and Brazil
Embraer's new Phenom 300EV light business jet has received certification from EASA, the FAA and Brazil's ANAC, with the manufacturer citing it as the first certified light jet with Garmin's Emergency Autoland system.
Embraer has won certification for its Phenom 300EV business jet from three regulators: Europe's EASA, the FAA in the United States and Brazil's ANAC. The manufacturer said the approvals make it the first certified light jet equipped with Garmin's Emergency Autoland feature, a system designed to land the aircraft automatically if the pilot becomes incapacitated.
Embraer says the Phenom 300EV can fly up to 3,806 kilometers carrying four passengers and reserve fuel. It also comes with an automatic braking system and electronic rudder control.
The update extends to connectivity too. The aircraft will offer satellite internet through Gogo's Galileo service, and Embraer said Starlink is expected to become available later as a retrofit option.
First deliveries are planned for 2028, the company said.
