Etihad reports 92 percent August load factor, praise for A321LR
Etihad Airways says it filled 92 percent of its seats in August while offering 15 percent more capacity than a year earlier, and its chief executive has singled out the Airbus A321LR for praise.
Etihad Airways recorded a seat load factor of 92 percent in August, chief executive Antonoaldo Neves said. He described the result as a sign the carrier is back on course. The figure was reached while the airline offered 15 percent more capacity than in the same month a year earlier.
Neves singled out Germany, Switzerland and Austria as markets the airline values, and said the Airbus A321LR is increasingly being deployed on them. He also expressed satisfaction with the new aircraft type.
Etihad measures customer satisfaction on every individual flight and receives roughly 700,000 pieces of feedback from customers each year, according to Neves. He said the A321LR is performing very well.
The comments came amid a broader recovery in Middle East aviation.
