Etihad to open redesigned Heathrow lounge in summer 2027
Etihad Airways plans to open a refurbished lounge at London Heathrow in summer 2027, the first to feature its new "Beyond Borders" design, as part of a $20 billion investment programme.

Etihad Airways intends to open a redesigned lounge at London Heathrow in summer 2027. It will be the first lounge to use the airline's new "Beyond Borders" design concept, which is to be rolled out gradually at further locations.
The design takes its cues from Abu Dhabi and follows a "from sand to superstructure" approach. Materials, textures and lighting are meant to connect the lounge with the aircraft cabin. Plans include separate areas for Business and First Class guests as well as private suites for travellers in The Residence.
The lounge concept is part of an Etihad investment programme worth 20 billion US dollars, around 17.2 billion euros, covering new aircraft and the customer experience. One billion dollars, around 860 million euros, is earmarked for modernising the existing fleet.
