FACC opens expanded plant in Croatia, tripling production space
Austrian aerospace supplier FACC has opened an expanded factory in Jakovlje, Croatia, after investing 36 million euros. The site is now the company's largest production facility outside Austria.
Austrian aerospace supplier FACC has opened the expansion of its plant in the Croatian town of Jakovlje. The company invested 36 million euros in the project, which tripled the production floor space at the site, according to the company.
More than 500 people now work at Jakovlje, making it FACC's largest production location outside Austria.
The plant already has a fully automated painting facility. Composite component production using a pressing process has now begun there as well. FACC intends to establish the site as a competence centre for the worldwide manufacture of high-quality cabin interiors.
By 2030 the group plans investments of around 350 million euros in new technologies and the expansion of its international locations.
