Fischer Air restart fails as backer firm declared insolvent
The company named in Fischer Air's imprint is insolvent and Hamburg prosecutors have charged Václav Fischer with commercial fraud, according to a newspaper report. The planned relaunch from Kassel has not materialised.

Fischer Air's relaunch has apparently failed. According to Bild, A.M.F. Aircraftleasing Meier & Fischer GmbH & Co. KG cannot pay its debts. The company is named in the imprint of Fischer Air and Fischer Reisen. The Hamburg district court declined to open insolvency proceedings for lack of assets.
Kassel Airport, where Fischer Air had intended to offer flights, said it has no contractual agreement with Fischer Reisen.
Hamburg public prosecutors have filed charges against Václav Fischer on suspicion of completed commercial fraud in three cases and attempted commercial fraud in 29 cases. The allegations concern short-time work benefits and date from 2021 and 2022. Fischer did not respond to enquiries, Bild reported.
