Flydubai adds two flight schools to pilot training programme
Flydubai will partner with Egnatia Aviation and Skyborne Airline Academy to train new pilots, with the first intake due to earn a Multi-Crew Pilot Licence before joining the carrier as first officers.
Flydubai is widening its pilot training programme through partnerships with Egnatia Aviation and Skyborne Airline Academy. The two schools will take on parts of an ab-initio programme that the airline launched in 2025.
The first participants are expected to earn a Multi-Crew Pilot Licence and then join Flydubai as first officers.
Flydubai currently employs more than 1,520 qualified pilots and flies close to 100 Boeing 737s. More than 300 aircraft are on order, including 30 Boeing 787s, with deliveries of the widebody due to begin in early 2028. The carrier expects eleven further Boeing 737s by the end of 2026.
Its in-house training centre has four Boeing 737 simulators.
