JetBlue's Fort Lauderdale Terminal 5 slips to 2030
A five-gate terminal at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport that was meant to ease congestion for JetBlue is now not expected to be substantially complete until 2030, as the project's spending ceiling rises by nearly $400 million.

A five-gate terminal at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, meant to give JetBlue more room, is no longer expected to be substantially complete until 2030. Its spending ceiling has risen by nearly $400 million.
JetBlue runs one of its largest stations at the airport, with roughly 130 to 150 daily departures. The airline had counted on near-term capacity relief from the terminal. Instead, the delay has turned the building into a longer-term constraint on its operation there.
