Jill Albertelli to lead Pratt & Whitney as president from January 2027

RTX named Jill Albertelli president of Pratt & Whitney on September 15, 2026. She takes the role on January 1, 2027.

Albertelli now runs the engine maker's Military Engines division, a job she has held since December 2021. She came to Pratt & Whitney in 2016 and has worked in engineering, manufacturing operations, quality, supply chain management, commercial programmes, sales, maintenance repair operations and strategy, RTX said. She will report to RTX chairman and chief executive Chris Calio.

Her arrival comes as the manufacturer works through engine durability and manufacturing problems.

RTX credited Albertelli with securing the company's sole source propulsion position on the F-35 fighter and with improving F135 engine deliveries, along with better quality performance and expanded sustainment capacity for military customers. Calio called her an experienced and widely respected figure with more than three decades in the business. Her record and her knowledge of the company and its customers, he said, made her the right choice to lead it.

Shane Eddy, who has led Pratt & Whitney since 2022, confirmed he will retire. He stays on through March 2027 as a special adviser to assist with the handover. Eddy joined the company in 2016 and previously held roles at GE Aviation, now GE Aerospace, Sikorsky Aircraft and Bell.
