K2 Airways crash flight recorders located deep in Arabian Sea
Pakistan's navy says it has located the flight recorders from a K2 Airways Boeing 737-400 freighter that crashed on 7 July, resting about 3,200 metres down in the Arabian Sea.

The aircraft belonged to K2 Airways and carried registration AP-BOI. It was operating flight KTA1732 from Sharjah to Karachi when it dropped off radar after a reported navigation problem. All five crew members are presumed to have died. Wreckage was found later.
The navy said it searched for roughly two months for the 737 and its recorders. Specialised equipment supplied by the National Engineering and Scientific Commission was used to pinpoint the recorder, and the position was passed to the Bureau of Air Safety Investigation. Whether, or when, the device can be recovered from that depth remains undetermined.
The aircraft was delivered as a passenger jet in 1999 and converted to a freighter in 2012.
According to Dunya News, which first reported the find, the recorders are in the Arabian Sea at roughly 3,200 metres.
