La Compagnie has announced it will begin flying between Düsseldorf and Newark in April 2027. The French business-class carrier will operate the route five times per week. It is the first time the airline has served a German airport.

The connection gives Düsseldorf a nonstop transatlantic service again. The airport lost its only North America route when Delta Air Lines ended its Atlanta flights in October 2023. Düsseldorf is Germany's fourth-largest airport.

The airline will use an Airbus A321LR on the route. According to La Compagnie, the aircraft is expected to be delivered in March 2027 from Airbus's Hamburg-Finkenwerder plant. The carrier currently operates A321neo and A321LR jets configured with 76 lie-flat seats in a 2-2 layout.

La Compagnie already flies from Newark to Paris Orly, Milan Malpensa, and Nice. Düsseldorf will be its fourth European destination.
