Let L-410 crash in Democratic Republic of Congo kills 13
A Let L-410 operated by Tracep Congo Aviation crashed on 25 September during a military flight from Kikwit to Kinshasa, killing all 13 people on board.
All 13 people on board a Let L-410 died when the aircraft crashed in the Democratic Republic of Congo on 25 September, according to the aviation publication aeroTELEGRAPH. The aircraft, registered 9S-GUC, was operated by Tracep Congo Aviation and was flying a military service from Kikwit to Kinshasa-N'Dolo.
Remy Saki Bokinda, vice governor of Kwango province, said a technical problem arose during the flight. The crew attempted to land at Kenge, but the aircraft came down on a residential plot.
Those killed included military personnel and civilians. Among them was General Likulia Bakumi, the chief auditor of the Congolese army.
