Polska Grupa Lotnicza, the parent of Lot Polish Airlines, has adopted a strategy for 2026 to 2032, with an outlook to 2035. It calls for tighter coordination among the group's six subsidiaries and for opening new lines of business.

One focus is building its own fleet of freighter aircraft. The group also intends to add modern cargo terminals and expand maintenance capacity for widebody aircraft at Rzeszów-Jasionka airport. PGL says this is meant to strengthen its position in the European air freight market.

The group plans to invest in new full-flight simulators so pilot training can eventually be carried out entirely in Poland. Lot Aircraft Maintenance Services and LS Technics are to share personnel, infrastructure and resources more closely. Ground handling is to become more efficient through digitally connected systems.

More savings are expected from centralising IT, finance, human resources and purchasing. The strategy also fits the planned Polish mega-airport, Port Polska.
