Props For A Purpose acquires first dedicated aircraft, a Tecnam P2012 Traveller

Props For A Purpose, a U.S. humanitarian aviation nonprofit formed in 2024, has acquired its first dedicated aircraft, a Tecnam P2012 Traveller. It has flown about 300 missions to date, the organization said.

CEO Jacob Bealle said the group runs a nationwide network of 500 pilots and other aviation professionals who fly privately owned aircraft on disaster relief, search and rescue, humanitarian response, and animal rescue missions.

Bealle said the organization began in December 2021, when tornadoes struck communities in western Kentucky where he lived. He made a Facebook post asking local pilots to help move supplies into the affected areas, and volunteers collected supplies at an FBO in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, and flew them to surrounding communities.

The effort grew into a 501(c)(3). Since then it has responded to flooding in Kerrville, Texas, in 2025, moving search and rescue personnel and resources into the region, and supported Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Melissa relief efforts in Jamaica, both in 2025, flying supplies and personnel. Year-round, Bealle said, the organization coordinates flights for medical patients who need care away from home and moves medical personnel and supplies through its volunteer pilot network.
