Boeing 747

The Boeing 747-8 given to the United States by Qatar and now flying as a temporary Air Force One is receiving interior "cosmetic upgrades," an administration source cited by ABC News said. Whether the aircraft is also being fitted with defensive systems that President Donald Trump previously said would be added has not been disclosed.

That silence leaves the central question about the jet unresolved: whether the current refurbishment deals with the security limitations that have already shaped how the aircraft is used.
