Southwest unveils first airport lounges, with launches in four cities

Southwest Airlines will open its first dedicated airport lounges in Austin, Baltimore, Honolulu and Nashville, in partnership with Chase, the carrier said.

Southwest Airlines has announced plans to open its first airport lounges, starting with locations in Austin, Baltimore, Honolulu and Nashville. The lounges are being developed in partnership with Chase and will be part of the Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounge Network.

According to Southwest, each lounge will offer locally inspired dining, design and amenities, alongside travel benefits available through the Chase Sapphire Reserve Lounge Network. At least seven more lounges are planned across the airline’s system in the coming years.
