Stuttgart Airport hands parking operations to state-owned company
Stuttgart Airport will transfer the running of its car parks and parking spaces to Parkraumgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg from 1 January 2027. The airport company will keep responsibility for tariffs, sales and booking platforms.
Stuttgart Airport is changing the company that operates its car parks and parking areas, with the switch taking effect on 1 January 2027. Parkraumgesellschaft Baden-Württemberg, known as PBW, will take over the day-to-day management of roughly 11,000 parking spaces at the airport.
The contract also covers about 8,000 parking spaces at the trade fair site. Customer service, technical equipment and traffic guidance systems fall within the scope of the work.
Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH remains the operator of the facilities. It will continue to handle tariffs, sales, technical matters and booking platforms.
PBW is a subsidiary of the state of Baden-Württemberg and runs car parks in around 50 cities. It already operates at Karlsruhe/Baden-Baden Airport.
