Swiss has taken delivery of its third Airbus A350-900. The airline said the aircraft, registered HB-IFC and named Zug, landed in Zurich at 9:45 on Saturday morning.
It joins two A350s already handed over, named Lausanne and Delémont. From October the new aircraft will fly Swiss routes from Zurich to Shanghai and Johannesburg.
The latest A350 has the Swiss Senses cabin, as the first two do, with First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy Class. Swiss is modernising its Airbus A330-300 fleet in parallel. The first aircraft is being converted in Hong Kong, and the whole A330 fleet is to have the new cabin by mid-2028.
According to the airline, Swiss expects ten A350-900s in total by 2030.
