Turkish Airlines and Flynas expand codeshare agreement

Turkish Airlines and Flynas have broadened their codeshare partnership, adding a Paris route and several Turkish domestic connections.

Turkish Airlines and Saudi carrier Flynas have expanded their codeshare cooperation, according to the airlines. Since mid-August, Flynas has been placing its own code on additional flights operated by Turkish Airlines out of Istanbul.

The expanded arrangement now includes the international route between Istanbul and Paris-Charles de Gaulle. It also covers domestic Turkish connections from Istanbul to Ankara, Antalya, Izmir and Trabzon.

Codeshare deals allow one airline to sell seats, under its own flight number, on services actually flown by a partner carrier. The move gives Flynas passengers wider access to onward connections within Turkey and into France without Flynas needing to operate those routes itself.

No further details on pricing, timing beyond the mid-August start, or additional route plans were provided.
