US sanctions 27 Iranian airlines and allied firms over Mahan Air support
The US Treasury has imposed sanctions on 27 Iranian carriers and nine foreign companies accused of helping Mahan Air obtain aircraft and parts.

The US Treasury Department sanctioned 27 Iranian airlines. Targets include Iran Airtour, Iran Aseman Airlines, Kish Airlines, Qeshm Air, Sepehran Airlines and Zagros Airlines. The action also covers 36 aviation companies and individuals in total, including firms in the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, the United Kingdom, Malaysia and Kazakhstan. They are accused of supporting Mahan Air in acquiring aircraft, spare parts or cargo services. US authorities said at least three Boeing 777s reached Mahan Air through the UAE and Oman in summer 2026.
The full list of sanctioned Iranian carriers includes Air Shiraz, Asa Jet Airline, Ata Airlines, Atlas Aviation Group, Ava Airlines, Chabahar Airlines, Erwan Air, Fly Kish, Fly Persia, Jsky Airlines, Karun Airlines, Lad Airways, Mehr Airways, Nasim Air, Pars Oghyanous Kish, Raimon Airways, Saha Airlines, Soroush Air, Taban Airlines, Toos Airlines and Varesh Airlines.
