Volotea links four Spanish cities with Florence in network expansion

Volotea has started direct flights from Florence's Amerigo Vespucci airport to four Spanish cities: Asturias, Seville, San Sebastián and Valencia. According to the carrier, most of these pairings had no regular commercial air service before.

The Asturias route runs twice a week and is described as the first scheduled direct connection between the two points. With the addition, Volotea's offering from Asturias grows to 24 routes, for more than 1.2 million seats.

San Sebastián also gets its first regular link to Florence and, the airline says, its first international route of any kind. That service will operate twice weekly, initially on Mondays and Thursdays, switching to Thursdays and Sundays from November. For 2026 the carrier is placing more than 71,000 seats on sale from the Basque city and is restoring its domestic San Sebastián–Seville connection at the same time.

Seville becomes the third Spanish city with a Volotea link to Italy under the expansion. Details of the Valencia schedule were not set out in the material available.
