Synopsis
A320 flight attendants reported during door disarming the door operating handle moved slightly; but was immediately pushed back in place. The escape slide did not deploy.
Narrative
We were traveling from ZZZ1 to ZZZ on flight ABCD an Airbus 320-20S. This was the fourth flight of five on a two day trip. I was purser. After we landed in ZZZ and the seatbelt sign went off; I disarmed doors 1L and 2L. I then made the announcement to disarm doors and then made the all call. FA A answered the all call and said doors 2L and 2R were disarmed and cross checked. The passengers and pilots deplaned; and then we did our cabin sweep and left the aircraft. I saw FA C taking a photo of door 2L but thought nothing of it; as I know some FAs take photos of the doors they arm and cross check. As we were walking to the next gate in ZZZ; I noticed FA D and FA A hanging back and talking in a hushed tone. We finally stopped at the restrooms right by a restaurant in ZZZ and I asked what was going on. FA A said; Should we tell her?" Once again I asked what was going on. FA A told me that when she disarmed the door; she initially pulled up the white door handle "just a little;" realized her mistake; then pushed it back down quickly. She then moved the RME [arming] lever up and told FA C what happened. I did not know any of this occurred until we were stopped near the restaurant on our way to the next gate in ZZZ; about 10-15 minutes after the incident. Neither FA C nor FA A told me about the incident while we were on board the aircraft. I sent a message to FA C in the app and told her we needed to return to gate XX to check on an issue. I was afraid the slide at 2L might deploy upon opening by catering or by the mechanics. She asked me to call her; so I did. I explained what FA A told me; and she instructed all three of the FAs to return to the aircraft at gate XX. I stayed on the line with her and she told me the Supervisor was coming to talk to us. Supvr came on the aircraft and went to the back to check the 2L door. Meanwhile; FA A called the union to discuss the situation while we were on board. One of the mechanics said all was ok; the slide didn't deploy and we were good to leave the aircraft. We got our bags and headed up the jet bridge. Supvr and Person A were standing at the top of the jet bridge and told us we could not leave and needed to return to the aircraft until he gave us further instructions. Supvr finally came on board and told FA C and I we could leave; but FA A had to stay on board because there would be an investigation. FA C and I left with Person A; and he helped get our schedules readjusted and ensured we had a hotel room for the night. FA C; FA A ; and I deadheaded back to ZZZ2."
Second reporter narrative
When I went to disarm the door I touched the door operating handle it went up a tad and immediately I pushed it down. I let the purser and maintenance know about the situation. Maintenance took a look at the door said it was okay and nothing was wrong.
