C172 Flight Instructor and student reported a NMAC during departure climb resulted in taking evasive action.
Narrative
On initial climb on departure leg from 20R at 0L7; our aircraft made appropriate radio calls following a go around. We were planning to follow behind the other aircraft. We announced our crosswind turn and saw the other aircraft head on to us. They made no radio calls or other position reports although they were earlier in the day. We took evasive action while the other aircraft did nothing. After which we had AHRS issues and decided to return home.
Second reporter narrative
We were in the crosswind of right traffic for 20 R; climbing to ZZZ; making radio calls on every leg. Another aircraft was not making calls and entered the downwind directly in front of us. Evasive action was taken.
