An Air Carrier crew experienced a runway incursion as they crossed the PIT Runway 10C hold short line at Taxiway W and immediately notified ATC when they realized the error. Poor runway markings were cited as contributing to the human error.
Narrative
Taxied across hold short line for Runway 10C in PIT. We immediately communicated with Tower and they gave us a line up and wait clearance on Runway 10C. There was poor runway and taxiway marking.

Very poor markings for 10C and no wig wag lights.
