Factual Information
On February 18, 2024, at 17:39 local time, an accident occurred at Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade involving an Embraer E190-200LR aircraft, registration OY-GDC. The flight was operated by Marathon Airlines on behalf of Air Serbia, under flight number JU324 from Belgrade to Düsseldorf, Germany. The aircraft was carrying two flight crew members, three cabin crew members, and 106 passengers. No injuries or fatalities were reported.
Aircraft Damage
The aircraft sustained physical damage to several areas, including the left side of the fuselage, the wing-to-fuselage fairing on the left side, the leading edge of the left wing, the left air conditioning system, the left horizontal stabilizer, and the lower fuselage. Detailed examination revealed multiple contact points with airfield equipment, with damage zones identified along various fuselage frames and stringers. The left wing root sustained damage between ribs 1 and 3, and fuel leakage from the left-wing tank occurred due to damage to the connection between the lower wing skin and the front spar between ribs 1 and 2. The lower fuselage skin was damaged between frames 74 and 76, and a drain mast was broken. The left main landing gear wheels also showed damage marks.
Third Party Damage
Inspection of the aerodrome surfaces along the take-off direction from runway 30L revealed damage to the approach lights for runway 12R. Specifically, the outermost right lights in all three rows (relative to the take-off direction) were damaged, including broken control boxes with tire marks observed. Flashing lights in the grassy area outside the runway strip were broken, as well as individual approach threshold lights. The antenna of the Far Field Monitor for runway 12R was broken, and its mast was found outside the perimeter fence, approximately 107.9 meters from its original location. The support structure of the monitoring antenna, with its concrete foundation and severed cables, was located about 60 meters outside the airport's safety-restricted zone on arable land, approximately 175 meters from the end of the asphalt surface. The support exhibited bending about 90 centimeters from its tip and had traces of aircraft paint.

The pilot in command was 58 years old, male, holding an Airline Pilot License (A) since 2013, with type ratings for A320 and EMB170, and a valid medical certificate until May 5, 2024. The co-pilot was 44 years old, male, holding a Commercial Pilot License (A) since 2016, with type rating for EMB170, and a valid medical certificate until April 4, 2025.
