Flight History
On 04 February 2022, the pilot of the Zodiac CH 601 UL (registration YU-A066) conducted a pre-flight inspection, reporting no issues. After contacting the appropriate air traffic control, the pilot initiated flight operations consisting of training circuits. Takeoff and the first three circuits proceeded without any problems. Following the fourth circuit, during landing on threshold 12 of the runway at Ravan Airfield, the pilot touched down 15-20 meters before the asphalt runway edge onto soft cultivated soil. The aircraft rapidly lost speed, causing the tail to rise and the aircraft to slowly flip onto its roof, coming to rest 5-6 meters from the runway. The pilot shut off fuel and other systems and egressed unaided. The pilot reported no injuries.

The aircraft sustained substantial damage to the propeller, nose section (especially engine cowling), nose landing gear, upper fuselage, wing spar, and vertical stabilizer.
