What happened
The airport manager provided an account of the event, stating that he heard the aircraft perform a takeoff followed by a right turn. A few seconds later, the aircraft turned back to the left. Shortly after this maneuver, the engine revved up, and the aircraft struck trees.
The airport manager further noted that fog was present in the area at the time of the incident. He reported that the ceiling was no more than 100 feet and visibility was no more than 1/2 mile.
