Weather Briefing and Flight Conditions
Prior to departure, the pilot received a weather briefing and was advised that VFR flight was not recommended. Despite this advisory, the pilot proceeded with the flight. As the flight progressed, the ceiling and visibility began to decrease.
Precautionary Landing Decision
Faced with deteriorating weather conditions, the pilot decided to perform a precautionary landing in a field. The pilot executed a low pass over the field to assess the landing area.
Engine Power Loss and Crash
During the go-around after the low pass, the engine would not develop full power. Subsequently, a wing tip struck the tops of trees at the end of the field, and the aircraft crashed.
