Accident Sequence
The aircraft experienced a power loss while in cruise flight. The pilot reported that the engine began to run rough and then lost power completely. Attempts to restart the engine were unsuccessful. The pilot executed a forced landing on a dirt road.
The dirt road had 3-foot-high dirt banks on either side, spaced approximately 28 feet apart. During the landing, the aircraft's wings struck the embankments, resulting in damage to the aircraft.
Post-Accident Examination
Following the accident, the engine was examined and subjected to a test run. The engine performed normally during the test.
