Synopsis
An aircraft was involved in an accident during an aborted takeoff, resulting in a collision with brush, trees, and rocks located off the end of the runway.
Sequence of Events
According to the pilot, rotation was initiated once flying speed was attained, but the aircraft failed to respond properly. In response, the pilot elected to abort the takeoff and applied braking. While slowing, the pilot realized he was running out of runway and, fearing a nose over, turned the aircraft to avoid sloping terrain. During this maneuver, the left landing gear hit the slope, and the aircraft slid down the grade before coming to rest.
