Accident
During a takeoff attempt on a country road, an agricultural aircraft crashed into trees and burned. The aircraft was carrying 120 gallons of aerial spray at the time. This was the first takeoff after lunch.
The pilot reported that the aircraft seemed 'glued to the road'. Realizing that he was going to impact wires ahead, the pilot jettisoned most of the spray load. The aircraft then managed to clear the obstacles but began to settle, prompting the pilot to dump the remainder of the load. Shortly thereafter, the aircraft struck the tops of trees and crashed in a swamp, where it burned.
The aircraft was destroyed. No other details are available from the investigation.
