Incident Overview
According to reports, the incident occurred during the landing roll. The aircraft settled while the landing gear was in transit, meaning it was not fully extended or retracted. At that time, the flaps were deployed in the down position and sustained damage as a result.
Pilot Statement
The pilot initially indicated that the landing gear indicator lights were green, suggesting the gear was down and locked. However, in a later statement, he speculated that the nose gear may have encountered a malfunction. He further noted that when he attempted to execute a go-around, he may have inadvertently retracted the landing gear instead of raising the flaps, confusing the gear lever with the flap lever.
Post-Incident Testing
A functional test of the landing gear retraction system was conducted following the incident. The test demonstrated that the landing gear operated properly, retracting and extending without any anomalies. The system was found to be functioning within normal parameters.
